A few ideas to make our lives easier in the kitchen

An easy way to store mashed vegetables for littlies who are being introduced to solid food: mash your veges (potato, pumpkin etc) and when cool, put in ice cube trays in the freezer. When you need baby food, pop out a couple of vege cubes and defrost / reheat in a saucepan or the microwave.

I find it easier & cheaper to buy shredded chicken in bulk (I go to Hans Factory Shop). I split a 1kg pack into 5 portions & freeze them - it goes much further for less money than buying BBQ chooks, with no wastage.

If you bulk buy mince you can cook the lot and then freeze it in meal portions for quick meals during the week.

If you are particularly conscious of hygiene and even though you've washed your hands prior to handling food you don't want to risk anything or get mucky mitts, use powder free & latex free food handling gloves. I use them all the time and wouldn't be without them.

If you're cooking coconut rice make one big batch, then freeze in meal sized portions to defrost and serve later with whatever you like.
